I’d love to help you in understanding any level of Physics and mathematics concepts as well as applying them into problems. It’s amazing how much impact a private tutor can have in these subjects, particularly in the first few weeks. When the grades start improving, it can be a fun process too. Over the last 18 years nearly all of my students have achieved a dramatic improvement in grades, typically a whole letter grade or more. What I can promise you is that I will be committed, accessible and caring. I’ll work together with you to customize a strategy for you and execute the plan as a team. • Teaching Post Doc - University of Houston (Main), January 2011 – Present. - Teaching tutorial and experimental classes for Physics major senior students. - Teaching Introductory college Physics and Mathematics. • Teaching assistant, PhD candidate: Department of Physics, University of Houston, Houston, TX, August 2007 – December 2010. -Teaching tutorial and experimental classes for Physics major senior students. - Teaching introductory college Physics and Mathematics classes and help students with their homework and quizzes. - Demonstrated and conducted undergraduate physics laboratory classes (Phys 1301 and 1302), prepared and graded homework, quizzes and exams. • Teaching assistant, MS candidate: Department of Physics, New Mexico State University, Las cruces, NM, August 2003 – May 2007. - Member of NMSU teaching academy (2005-2007) and member of curriculum development committee of teaching academy. • Senior teaching assistant: Department of Physics, University of Colombo, Colombo, Sri Lanka, July 1999 – January 2000 - In-charge of undergraduate physics major laboratory classes: designed, prepared, demonstrated and monitored experiments. - Teaching undergraduate physics and Mathematics courses, prepared and graded exams and homework.
