I have a biochemistry (BSc) degree from Sussex University, a Post Graduate Certificate in Science Education (Masters) and have completed a 6 month chemistry for educators course at East London University. During my degree I specialized in genetics and developmental biology, carrying out research at one of the UK's most prestigious life science departments.
Experience
I have always loved learning and this is what drew me to teaching. During my studies other students sought my help and told me that I was good at explaining things. Helping them gave me a great sense of fulfillment and I realized that I wanted to spend my career helping other people to enjoy learning as much as I do. Having worked in High Schools and Middle Schools as a qualified Science teacher in the United Kingdom (London) for the last 5 years, and tutored privately, I have gained experience with a wide variety of students. I have a background in Biochemistry, and have worked as a Research Scientist at Cambridge.

Hobbies
I’m an avid reader, especially of non-fiction books on science and history. Enjoying the outdoors as much as possible is important to me, and I try to hike and camp whenever I get the time. Being involved in practical projects is also a passion of mine, having spent nearly two years managing and actively partaking in the renovation of my family’s Victorian property.
