Experience
I love tutoring because I enjoy sharing my life-long fascination with science, math and learning with students and I especially love helping them see themselves succeed! My in-depth understanding of how these subjects work enables me to get on the same level with struggling students and explain it to them in common-sense terms. I find that students almost always become more motivated and successful once they begin to grasp the basics and see themselves able to apply them. My overall goal is to make a student more self-sufficient and less dependent on my help. I began tutoring science and math in the 1980's and I also have both hIgh school and university teaching experience in physics.

Hobbies
I enjoy spending time with friends, reading, watching movies and continually learning new things. I have ridden motorcycles since I was about 12 years old. I also grew up hiking and camping in the Appalachian mountains and still love the great outdoors. I also love animals and have a Black Labrador / Blue Healer mixed-breed named Sheila.
