Education

Grambling State University - Bachelors, English AND History (Dual Degree)

Experience

I am full of energy and my personality will light up any room. As a teacher and tutor, I tend to use a lot of humor. My teaching method is to discover my students' hidden talents while having high expectations of them. I like to think everyone has a purpose in life, and I have a talent in uncovering that purpose! Teaching is rewarding, and it enables me to learn while also helping others. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and History from Grambling State University. After graduation, I moved to Arkansas and discovered the joy of teaching. I instructed 120 tenth graders who were quite surprised to see their teacher had more energy than them! I am applying to the University of Houston English master's program. I am also working on my first novel. I enjoy running outdoors, reading, and cooking Italian and Cajun food.Currently, I live in Houston, TX, and tutor the subjects of social studies, English, public speaking, writing, and study skills. I can also help students prepare for tests such as the PSAT, SAT, and ACT. I look forward to being your tutor and working with you!
