Private tutor in Houston, TX

Education

University of Texas at Austin, Electrical Engineering, Freshman Math/Physics/Chemistry/Statistics

Experience

I have tutored some of my classmates in Calculus, Algebra, Pre-Calculus, and geometry. I scored a 690 in SAT Subject Test: Mathematics. I want to be a tutor because I want to help others succeed in a subject I'm good at. My favorite subjects to tutor are math and English: math because I enjoy the operations and the fulfillment you get when a problem is solved correctly and English because I love reading stories then discussing and analyzing them. My teaching philosophy is based around the student exploring the possibilities of their subjects and seeing as many way as possible to work through a problem. I think that students should be taught to look at their knowledge as a bag of tools that help them assess what needs to be fixed, if a student has a wide variety of tools they will be successful in conquering a problem, but if they do not possess those tools they need to be taught the skills to employ their knowledge to their work. Mymathlab/ webassign projects with "A" grade assure. Students looking for assignments help can also approach.
