I have over 10 years of tutoring experience. I tutored peers throughout college in various courses, but especially in math courses, psychology courses, and writing. My tutoring career actually began ten years ago, however, when I began tutoring my peers due to my high grades and need to have additional income. Since graduating UST, I founded a tutoring company called The Brain Domain where we customize our lessons to our clients' individual learning styles and needs. I am really passionate about helping others and am so glad that my company and myself serves families across the Greater Houston Area. What sets me apart as a tutor is my patience and understanding of psychology. I frequently check-in with my students to see if they understand the material I'm teaching; however, I'm usually able to gauge how they are feeling through their body language and tone of voice. My goal is for every student to leave me feeling confident and ready to take on their course! My clients praise me for being patient with their children and helping them achieve high scores that were beyond their expectations. One of my current ACT students is a sophomore in high school and has increased her score 6 points (to a 30) in only a few hourly sessions--I expect her score to still go much higher. I LOVE helping empower my students and lead them to success.
