Experience
My passion for tutoring began in high school when I participated in a club that allowed me to help my classmates with subjects like Algebra and Biology. Ever since then I have tutored people of all ages and particularly enjoy assisting high school students in their preparation for the SATs. Being a National Merit Scholar has taught me many test taking tricks that I enjoy sharing with students. One of my favorite subjects to teach people is Biology. It shouldn't come as a surprise that I graduated in 2014 from Rice University with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Cell Biology with a minor in Global Health Technologies. I am continuing my education in the Master of Science in Anesthesia program at Case Western and aspire to become an anesthesiologist assistant.Although every student is different, I believe the best way to teach someone is by beginning with fundamental concepts. Much like a house, if the foundation is strong, the structure will follow suit. There is no better feeling in the world than knowing that a way in which you explained something helped someone grasp a difficult concept. When not tutoring, I enjoy knitting, playing the violin, and volunteering at the SPCA in Houston.
