I am a graduate of the University of Houston. I was a Marketing and Spanish for Business Professionals major and completed a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I went on to attend the University of Saint Thomas (Houston) and obtain my Master of Business Administration degree. I am a native born Spanish speaker, so I tutor in Spanish. I was born in Colombia and lived there until I was 15 years old. I started tutoring Spanish in college, and then throughout graduate school. As a result, I have experience tutoring children through adults, from a diverse range of backgrounds. All had different educational needs and personal reasons for learning the Spanish language. I enjoy tutoring because I take pride in watching my students confidently communicating in Spanish. It opens up a world of opportunities to them! I tend to stress actually learning a language and not merely memorizing it. My students and I work together as a team to help them think in Spanish. This way, they do not have to mentally translate the language before speaking it. This tends to allow for a much more natural way of speaking.In my free time, I like to play sports (outdoor) and read. I enjoy swimming, biking, and running. I also truly enjoying spending time with my family and friends.
