I am Olivia, and I currently live in Houston TX, and attend Rice State University. The greatest majority of my tutoring experience has been in mathematics, and I have experience working with students from K-12 grades, though I also have the ability to tutor many college level courses. I work hard at finding a student's individuality in learning and comprehension styles. I tend to approach a difficult concept from alternative angles until we find that student's perfect style of learning. I have found this results in greater comprehension of the material from the course. I am able to tutor in elementary, middle school, and high school mathematics; algebra 1 and 2; geometry; pre-calculus; statistics; and Mandarin Chinese. I can also assist with test prep for SAT mathematics, and I can help students to build better study skills. While not in class or working, I enjoy traveling. I often travel just through Houston or Los Angeles because I enjoy the parks and museums. I also love to go to coffee shops; they have such a unique atmosphere. I like to visit different food scenes while I am there. I also like cooking, eating new foods, and photography.
