Experience
I have been considered to be one of the "fun" tutors in the eyes of my students and a "results" tutor by the parents. I love to share various methods, strategies, and techniques with my students in order to help them achieve all of their academic goals. My tutoring experience ranges from working with young children in pre-school to young adults who are trying to obtain their college degree. As a graduate from Johns Hopkins University, I received my bachelor's degree in Neuroscience. After receiving my undergraduate, I decided to return to my native area of Houston, Texas. During my undergraduate studies, I had the chance to help found and manage a tutoring program for youth that had trouble with learning disabilities such as ADD and dyslexia. I am able to help them break down the more complex concepts so that they can be easily understood instead of just memorized. It is my friendly personality and my ability to quickly adapt to different learning styles that allows the student to progress in his or her learning without becoming overwhelmed. In my free time, I enjoy both playing and watching sports, as well as animals, martial arts, computers, and medicine.
