Experience

I believe that everyone is born with an innate gift that is slowly realized, developed, and further refined as one goes through life. For me, I believe mine is teaching. I first started teaching when I started volunteering at our school's afternoon homework center and when I became team captain of my school's math and science club. I spent hours upon hours helping students excel in their classes as well as trained our award winning academic math and science team. This continued in college as I worked at Engineering Study Tables at UT Austin where I received the Outstanding Tutor Award. I also started 1 on 1 tutoring during this time where one of my students won the "Most Improved" award in her math class. - This continued on in medical school as I taught my fellow medical students anatomy and physiology while continuing to teach across a diverse age group, 5th grade math and science up to the MCAT Physical Sciences. All in all, my 9+ years of tutoring experience has refined and honed my tutoring skills and techniques and developed strong interpersonal communication skills due to constant interaction with students. Please see below a list of my credentials. Credentials: - USMLE STEP 1 > 250. - 5/5 on an AP Exam or an A at the university on all marked courses. - 15/15 on MCAT Physical Sciences - 12/15 on MCAT Biological Sciences - 80 on PSAT Math, 790 on SAT Math. - Conversationally fluent in Mandarin Chinese (natively fluent in English) and can help with foundational reading/writing skills and offer everyday conversation practice. NOTE: I have a very FLEXIBLE schedule and can arrange to meet outside of my listed available times.

Hobbies

I am currently in my last year of internal medicine residency at Baylor College of Medicine. I am recently married to a lovely wife and enjoy spending time with her. I also enjoy teaching and actively seek opportunities to teach my fellow interns and residents while working in the hospital. In my spare time, I like to swim and exercise, cook, and spend time with my friends from work and from church.
