EducationBS in Chemistry with minor in computer science, Texas Tech University, 2003
ExperienceHi! I grew up in Mississippi and attended high school there. Ever since I graduated from high school I wanted to come to Texas. When I was 19, I packed up and did. I worked in Texas for a while so that I could get my instate residency and then attended college at Texas Tech University. At Texas Tech, I majored in Chemistry with a minor in computer science. I took quite a few math courses as well as some engineering courses. After TTU, I moved back to Houston and started working in various industries and enjoyed it.
I briefly taught at the University of Houston as a TA and this is how I discovered I really enjoy teaching. While at UH, I taught chemistry lab, but I also worked with students on their math and physics courses.
My love for teaching now has brought me here where I am hoping to find students who I can explain in easier terms what they are having problems in. My schedule is open. I work around your time. I can tutor from early mornings to late at night (about 10 pm). I can meet you where you feel comfortable whether it be at your home, a coffee shop, a bookstore, or even a library. I am a native English speaker and am extremely patient and will take my time to make sure you understand the concepts you are having problems with. If you are looking for a tutor to teach your kids, yourself, or even another family member, write me.
I have over 200 hours tutoring in each of the subjects I tutor. I take my time and do my best to explain what is required so you pass your next exam.
HobbiesI have a number of hobbies including working on my car, playing video games. I also enjoy reading and teaching. I help friends with their cars etc.
